In 2017 whilst living in Melbourne I started writing down some stories about my son, Digby Bill, and soon discovered that I had plenty. Since the day he was born, my gorgeous boy with Down Syndrome has opened up a whole new world of mis-haps, misunderstandings, mysteries and miracles. From small country town to big city adventures, Digby Bill, his big brother Quinn Darby and I let you in on part of our journey. Not intending to be self help, (but may well turn out that way for you), this short book may shed some light on certain aspects and traits of Down Syndrome, or any child with special needs or challenging behaviour, from a mother's perspective. Thanks to my New Zealand friends and authors Ngaire Dolphin and Shelley Chappory, who encouraged me and helped get this project up and out there. My children are my greatest production, and I thank them both for providing the inspiration and content of this book. Toni Swain, November 2018.
